Once you cut away those unfulfilled silver linings you find that those open spaces are actually necessary to breathe. Cue eyelet and cut outs making their debut as life lesson and transition from girly to sophisticated.
A nice evolution from Stevie’s crochet is the eyelet and cut out trend that dominated the runways this season. It’s not like eyelet for spring is a groundbreaking concept but one that is universally liked and interpreted in new ways season after season. Between Chloe and Valentino’s Spring Summer 2015 collections -- I’m basically covered for everything I’ve ever wanted for my summer wardrobe… with a little bit of folk (foreshadowing next week), eyelet all over, cut out patterns and silhouettes, sherbert dégradé on cascading cut aways, even some kitchy crocheted tops with insects motifs. I think Stevie would approve. And Dear Valentino & Chloe SS 2015...
I'll follow you down 'til the sound of my voice
Will haunt you
You'll never get away from the sound
Of the woman that loves you
you are groundbreaking for me. I want to live in your sun filled, open spaces forever.
