This is our last post for the summer before August vacation and it finishes up our sky journal month; appropriately the magic hour just before all goes dark. That moment the sun dips below the horizon, the sky is left in stunning tints of color: pinks as pale as English tea roses, tangerines that have just fallen from the tree in ripeness, even whites and greys and lavender tints of sunlight linger until the darkness of night fades to black. The sun setting symbolizes the end, the end of the day, the last curtain call on this single sun cycle.
This month marks the end of my first year living in Paris, the city of light. It was not named that because of the stunning colors of the sky at dusk, but it is the most majestic time of day here. A time to reflect and get lost in the beauty of the sky, to reflect back on all the day has held and all the wonder of what lays ahead as it quietly slips into night.
We hope you’ll take a moment to enjoy this beautiful light show and think back on the lovely days we've had. This may be the ending of one day, or one season, or one year, which only means the next and best is yet to come.
